Unyde One/Platform/Payload

Tonnes per pass, per truck and per trip.

Onboard weighing on loaders, excavators and tippers records the load of each pass and each trip, and compares it with the weighbridge.

What it addresses

Trip counts multiplied by a nominal capacity give an estimate of tonnes moved. Underloaded trucks cost cycles; overloaded trucks cost tyres, suspension and fuel. Neither shows until weighbridge totals are compared, and some material never crosses a weighbridge.

What it measures

  • Bucket weightLoad per pass on wheel loaders and excavators
  • Truck payloadStrain or pressure sensing on tippers
  • Under and overloadAgainst the rated capacity of each machine
  • Tonnes per trip and shiftBy loader, truck, operator and material
  • Weighbridge comparisonOnboard weight against weighbridge net weight, per trip

How it works

From installation to the shift report.

Step 1Fit

Pressure sensors on the hydraulic circuit of loaders and excavators; strain or pressure sensing on tippers.

Step 2Calibrate

Each machine calibrated against known loads.

Step 3Record

Each pass and trip on fitted machines weighed and tagged to machine, operator and material.

Step 4Reconcile

Totals compared with the weighbridge and with fuel burned per tonne.

Questions

Common questions.

Wheel loaders, excavators and tippers. The method is chosen per machine: hydraulic pressure for loaders and excavators, structural strain or suspension pressure for tippers.

Onboard weights are reported next to weighbridge net weights for the same trip, so any difference is visible per truck.

Trips loaded by an unfitted machine are recorded without a load event and flagged, so gaps in coverage are visible in the reports.
